In the third quarter of 2022, the top five social apps in Qatar showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok saw a dynamic quarter with weekly revenue fluctuating between $149K and $209K. The app's downloads peaked at 46K in mid-July but gradually declined to around 18K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 1M mark throughout the quarter.

Facebook experienced consistent engagement with weekly active users just above 1.6M, peaking at nearly 1.71M in mid-September. Downloads ranged from 11K to 20K, with a noticeable spike in late August. Revenue remained modest, fluctuating between $1.3K and $3.3K.

Instagram showed steady growth in revenue, starting at $31 and ending the quarter at $118. Downloads saw a high of 18.7K in mid-July but settled around 10K towards the end of September. Active users maintained a stable range, averaging around 550K.

Bigo Live - Live Streaming App had a mixed quarter with weekly revenue peaking at $56K at the end of June and dropping to $33K by late September. Downloads were relatively low, fluctuating between 4.3K and 9K. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 57K.

TikTok Now, a newer entrant, showed promising early metrics with downloads increasing from 26K to 29K in its first two weeks. Active users also grew from 23K to 40K, indicating strong initial engagement.
